Learning analytics plan
There is methodology behind every tool in our model, therefore they should be applied wisely. For example, a person who does not know the methodology can mistake socially desired responses for reality. Or classify a learner as 'passive' without a concrete list of criteria to base on. All this can ruin the analytical model.
All tools fulfill their purpose only when the analyst knows how to employ each of them
Before using any analytical model, make sure that the company has someone who understands the methodology. They will be able to interpret the data correctly, set and test hypotheses, and put together an analytical report that can be shown to executives.
In this mini-course, we explained how to create a learning analytics model using Kirkpatrick's four levels as an example.

Now that you have all the tools assembled into a model, you can make a plan for your learning analytics. Our template may help you with that.
